Welcome to Annerley Nannies, the service we offer is divided
into two different categories: Maternity Nurses and Nannies.
Maternity nurses are hired to assist with the care of your
newborn baby, offering you support with feeding and guiding you with the
care of your baby. The maternity nurse will help with enabling baby to
settle, sleep and feed well, working with you to achieve a workable pattern
or routine that suits you and your baby. Maternity nurses can be booked for
any length of time but the usual is 1 - 3 months. All Annerley maternity
nurses are experienced and often also hold a specialized maternity nursing
qualification, many are also trained, professional nannies who have opted
to specialize with newborns. Maternity nurses may be booked on a nights
only basis – usually 9pm – 7am, 6 nights per week or on a 24 hour basis
where they stay with you, in your home night and day, for the length of the
placement apart from their one 24 hour period off per week. Maternity
nurses tend to get booked up several months ahead, therefore it is
important to let us know you would like a maternity nurse as far ahead of
your due date as possible, this way we can ensure you have more choice and
more time to make your decision.
Our Nannies are fully trained and experienced, holding either
the UK NNEB certification or similar from other countries. Nannies can be
employed full or part time; on a temporary or more permanent basis, caring
for babies and children of varying ages. A nanny can be ‘live in’ or ‘live
out’ whichever suits your family situation. Our full time nannies usually
work an 8 – 10 hour day, depending on your family needs, weekdays with
weekends off. Part time nannies usually work several days per week with a
minimum of 4 hours per day.
References are checked on all Annerley maternity nurses and
nannies, we know them all well and request feedback from all placements so
that we can continue to assure that we provide only the best service. As
the nanny agency is part of Annerley, run by midwives and paediatric
healthcare professionals, our nanny and maternity clients are in good hands
and we are always available for advice and support on pregnancy and early
childcare issues.
