Pregnancy & birth

Our registered midwives offer antenatal clinics for routine checkups and work together with obstetricians and maternity health clinics during pregnancy, birth and in the postnatal period.  We also offer various types of pregnancy classes to suit all styles, and this is followed by early labour care at home if you wish, and then postnatal checkups / breastfeeding help at home to ensure that you will not have to go out with your baby in the first days after the birth. 

If you are unsure of what services may be useful for you, you can book one session with Hulda, where she can help you decide what may be best suited to you and your family in terms of where to give birth, what care to choose and so on.  Otherwise, here is a quick guide to which Annerley services may be useful: 

First time parents:  Regular antenatal clinic and Best of Both antenatal care package (if birth in a public hospital), Antenatal classes (natural birth, babies&beyond or express), 2–3 birth breathing sessions, 5 postnatal home visits. 
Second time parents:  Regular antenatal clinic and Best of Both antenatal care package (if birth in a public hospital), Second time refresher course or natural birth course, 1 birth breathing session and 3 postnatal home visits.
