Tips from dermatologist:
When bathing, use lukewarm water (35-37C). When drying, do not rub skin. Instead, gently pat dry with a towel. If skin is dryness or eczema prone, do not dry completely. Apply moisturizer or body oil to retain hydration.
Why it works:
We love to praise our infant baby line and call them 3 little miracle workers, because they truly are amazing.
As you probably know by now, a baby's skin is super delicate, especially an infants and often we like to do more for our little bundle of joy, but too much too soon, such as baby bubble baths, shampoos and baby wash, which especially for infants is absolutely not necessary. Why? Because babies don't smell since they don't sweat till they start eating regular foods. Often these baby products can cause topical dermatitis, such as the all too popular eczema, due to many ingredients such as fragrances, petroleum, preservatives and the ever-present sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate. All infants up to 6 months of age just need a few products so remember less really is more.
The Newborn Oat and Milky Bath we highly recommend to use during the first 6 months of your baby's life. Free of any detergents, preservatives and dyes, it allows the skin to build immunity naturally, while soothing and nourishing your baby's skin..think deluxe baby papering.
Tippy Toes Ultra Gentle Baby Oil can be used in so many ways, for instance as a daily moisturizer, especially after bath, great to clean up baby's bottom instead of baby wipes which often have harmful hidden ingredients to keep the wipes moist without getting moldy, also as a bath oil, simply add a few drops in the bath water and also as a wonderful treatment for eczema and cradle cap. The property blend of just four ingredients in Tippy Toes Ultra Gentle Baby Oil provides great results every time. With a pump for easy application, it lasts a long time so you can indulge and even enjoy using it as your natural makeup remover..a great tip to share with the girls!
Little Bottoms Baby Ointment is made without zinc oxide, due to so many requests from moms wanting a product that isn't sticky and hard to wash off, especially if you are using cloth diapers. Instead of zinc oxide, we added heaps of colloidal oatmeal, well known for its skin healing benefits and calendula extract. Free of any fragrance, your baby will relax and so can you, knowing that it's 100% natural!
Remember, it's so important to take the time to read the back label on products....know what you're putting on your body...especially your little ones.
