Common Childhood Illnesses - helpers course

Your helper may be excellent in taking care of your little one - but she may not know enough about all the common illnesses that can affect a baby in the early years, or how to respond. This course has been specially adjusted with helpers in mind, to ensure they understand and learn as much as possible.
This is a 2 hour workshop about some common childhood illnesses and how to respond to them. The workshop is conducted by one of our registered nurses, who has years of experience in dealing with these. She
will cover things like rashes, fever, stomach aches, vomiting, asthma, allergies and so on – as well as some info about SIDS, Safe household and
traveling and how to prevent these
problems. Some subjects will be slightly more in depth, others more
to confirm what you may already know. The helpers will have plenty of time to ask questions and discuss different situations.
This workshop was originally set up as a respond to many parents’
wishes - finding that these subjects are
lacking attention in the traditional antenatal classes and are technically
not a part of a CPR and First aid training
– so they get missed. This version of the course is specially adjusted for the helpers, so that they may get the full benefits of all the content.
If you book and pay for a regular DOMESTIC HELPERS COURSE (4 sessions, including CPR and First Aid), you get 30 % discount from this workshop.
